Diagnosis
Occiput strongly convex; scape, femora and tibiae dark brown; scutellum smooth and shiny; forewing speculum open below; median propodeum with submedian grooves present in anterior ½ only; gaster short, MM/LG = 1.0, first tergite large, reaching 0.6X the length of gaster, with elongate punctures; entire body metallic dark purple. Similar to tumidus but with female gaster shorter, 1st gastral tergite with elongate punctures, and forewing speculum open below. See also globus.
